Update - July 23, 2016: Sigh. It has happened again. I purchased a "moderate" quality item that is serviceable, because of the relatively LOW PRICE. And then, when I post a 5 star review, the price shoots up to something SO UNREASONABLE that I can no longer recommend it.

This blanket is exactly what I was looking for and I think if you really understand what a pure cotton blanket is before purchasing, you will have no issue. With respect to some of the negative reviews, I agree the description is misleading when it describes the blanket as "soft.

This is a great cool weather blanket—soft, silky, squishy, warm and plush. It didn’t shed even a speck of lint when I washed and dried it. My only gripe is the photo which shows the whole bed and the photo which shows the corner stitching are not the same product. I ordered a queen size.
