I purchased these because when my wife an I got married 6 years ago, I was not a big wine drinker.

It’s sort of OK but be prepared for spillage. I bought this to replace my 30+ year old shot-measurer since it was showing signs of corrosion.
It’s well made, nicely finished, attractively priced and the rubbery grip in the middle makes it impossible to drop.

It is easy to think that these glasses are made of crystal, since this company and this pattern have long been associated with 24% lead crystal. But in 2010 Crystal D’arques introduced a lead-free glass they call DIAMAX. It’s quite pretty but it’s not crystal. It doesn’t have the weight or ring of crystal.

I purchased these for a party. We unpacked the glasses and placed them on a tray and put on our designated beverage table outside. The temperature was about 84-86. Within a few minutes the glasses started to ‘melt’ and became deformed and would not stand upright. We had to run out and purchase a sufficient number of acrylic glasses for our party.

Buyer beware! This is being advertised here as easily holding a 750 ml bottle of wine. Yes, it will hold one 750 ml bottle but it is actually intended to be used as a 375 ml, 1/2 bottle personal decantor not a 750 ml bottle decantor (according to Reidel - discovered after receiving the product).

I was so excited to get my new "wine glasses" so I could tailgate in style….until I washed like the instructions said. The Care Instructions say to "hand wash only with warm soapy water. Do not soak or submerge." All I did was get a rag with some soapy warm water and lightly was the tumbler.

We had on two separate occasions these glasses explode into tiny shards of glass upon lifting the glass. The first time was when lifting out of the dishwasher upon which the glass exploded into hudrededs of little pieces and actually cut my nose as shards of glass went everywhere. We thought this was perhaps a freak accident.

these glassed were listed as 10 ounce capacity but they are only 8 ounce. i looked up 11 ounce glasses and the same item was listed as 11 ounce. i did not get what i wanted and their adverising is deceptive ( a lie )
